Charity & Community
A Tradition of Giving
Charity has always been at the very heart of Eastes Lodge No. 1965. Since our consecration in 1882, the Lodge and its members have proudly supported a wide range of Masonic and local charitable causes, continuing a long-standing tradition of generosity, compassion and community service.
Over the years, Eastes Lodge has been honoured to support and act as patrons of several important Masonic charities and institutions, including:
The Grand Charity
The Royal Masonic Benevolent Institution (RMBI) — Patron and Platinum Award Holder
The New Samaritan Fund
The Masonic Trust for Girls & Boys — Vice Patron
RMBI Prince George, Duke of Kent Court
The Lodge is also proud to have been a Founding Lodge of both the Royal Masonic Hospital and the Metropolitan Grand Lodge of London.
Today, our charitable efforts continue through fundraising events, collections, community support and contributions to the wider work of the Masonic Charitable Foundation (MCF) — the central charity of Freemasonry in England and Wales. The MCF provides support to Freemasons, their families and people within the wider community through financial grants, healthcare support, disaster relief, hospice funding, youth services and local charitable initiatives.
Freemasons collectively donate millions of pounds to charitable causes every year, alongside countless hours of voluntary service within their local communities. At Eastes Lodge, we remain proud to play our part in that tradition of service, support and charitable giving.
